- Conducted field survey of container movements, EDI transaction volumes and information system assets and practices among stakeholders (ocean and land carriers and stevedoring operations) in the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma WA; and
- Developed system design, and determined processing and storage volumes and hosting requirements.

Responsible for operation, administration and global user support of mission-critical worldwide multi-platform 1,000+-user email system implemented on network and application servers running NT, Novell and Unix with message traffic routed via corporate internal network and the public internet.
- Developed and deployed remote administration and process control monitoring tools for network and processor components, including web and pager interfaces, to ensure system performance to service standards and the generation of timely alerts of anomalous conditions requiring intervention.
- Implemented automatic in-transit virus scanning of attachment files.
- Developed and deployed tools to migrate message stores from proprietary legacy system to Microsoft Exchange.
- Provided end-user support for multiple domestic and international sites, as well as for mobile users.

Responsible for applications support and operation of HR and Payroll systems
- LAN Administrator for secure domain within corporate network.

- Created numerous substantial customizations and application extensions including:
- actuarial valuations;
- email integration for event triggers;
- EFT (electronic funds transfer) capability; and
- extensive custom reporting and data analysis.
